Stucco
Durable finishes with a clean and modern appearance, ideal for protecting and enhancing façades.
At CM Master Builders, we offer professional stucco services, an architectural coating composed of cement, sand, and fibers that, when applied in layers, protects and textures exterior surfaces while providing strength, uniformity, and a modern aesthetic.
This system not only renovates and enhances façades but also improves durability, provides weather sealing, reduces maintenance, and contributes to long-term structural performance.
Stucco Application Process
- Surface Preparation and Initial Evaluation
Before starting, we inspect the surface to identify cracks, moisture, loose areas, or previous damage. Based on this assessment, we determine whether repairs, sealing, or substrate reinforcement are required to ensure proper adhesion. - Installation of Mesh or Lath (When Applicable)
On surfaces that require additional support or when working over incompatible materials, we install metal mesh or a lath system. This step improves adhesion, distributes stress, and prevents future detachment. - Application of Base Coat (Scratch Coat)
We apply the first base layer, which acts as the structural foundation of the system. This layer is scratched to create texture and promote bonding with the next application. It is a crucial phase to ensure strength and durability of the final finish. - Application of Intermediate Coat (Brown Coat)
We apply the intermediate coat to correct imperfections, leveling, and thickness. At this stage, we define consistency, alignment, and surface uniformity, ensuring it is ready for the final finish. - Application of Finish Coat
The final layer defines the project’s appearance. It may include fine, medium, or coarse textures, as well as specific colors based on the client’s preference. This phase is highly visual and requires precision to achieve clean, modern, and uniform results.
